Most commonly asked questions.

What’s your refund policy?

If the game does not work on your computer, or you want a refund for any other reason, a refund will be issued. If you have a problem getting a refund from your place of purchase, contact me and I will do my best to ensure you get a refund.

What will the price of the game be?

The game will retail for $10 (or local currency equivalent).

Do you have customer service?

Of course! But seeing as I am one person, I will not be available 24/7/365. I should reply to any e-mail queries within a day. If you have not received a reply, always just check the blog to make sure I am not travelling or otherwise indisposed.

Is this game historically accurate?

No. Some of the weapons, such as the Arabic sword or the assegai only came into use much later. The clothing for the desert men or the sea slavers is also much too advanced for the time. Some of the foodstuffs, such as corn and potatoes, were only introduced to Africa after the discovery of the Americas.  For the sake of game play and user recognition, I used those weapons, clothing and foodstuffs to add variety instead of the more obscure weapons and foodstuffs (like marog, fufu and egali) from the actual time period.

How long is the game?

Depending on your play style and whether you visit all the locations in the game, the game should take you between four to six hours to complete.

Are all the assets in the game made by you?

No. Some assets were purchased, notably the animals. It would be pointless for me to model, map, texture, rig, animate and program the AI for an elephant, which would take me a month, when I could buy a model of an elephant and program it's AI, and end up with the same result in a few days.  At the end of the day, an elephant is an elephant. That said, all the human NPC's, their clothing and weapons, were modeled by me, as well as some of the buildings and other assets.
